Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has introduced its AI Impact Framework, a new tool aimed at evaluating the concrete business outcomes of artificial intelligence implementations within organizations. This framework seeks to address a common challenge: distinguishing the routine application of AI from impactful changes that enhance productivity, foster automation, or offer reusable capabilities across teams.
The AI Impact Framework requires employees to present evidence of AI-enabled work completed over the preceding six months. Acceptable submissions include production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, delivery pipelines, large-scale migrations, internal tools, and reusable systems, while self-reported or hypothetical capabilities are excluded.
The framework employs a multi-agent evaluation process. An evaluator reviews the submissions, while an adversarial agent challenges unsupported claims and attributions. A referee then assesses both evaluations to determine the final score. Human managers and project leaders validate the results, with any disputes subject to further review.
Under this system, participants are categorized into four AI maturity levels, ranging from limited AI integration to proficiency in developing and operating AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable systems with a significant organizational impact. According to GAP, by July 2026, approximately 41% of its workforce had attained Level 3, while about 48% reached Level 2.
The company also utilizes the framework internally to identify capability gaps among employees and to create personalized development plans. GAP’s ultimate goal is to establish measurable baselines, identify development needs, and guide organizations from basic AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful operations.
