In a recent podcast appearance, U.S. Vice-President JD Vance expressed his dedication to what he refers to as “God’s work” and mentioned his acceptance of potentially aiding in the arrival of the end times. While Vance acknowledged uncertainty about whether the world is nearing such an era, he emphasized that the end times are inevitable, whether they occur in the distant future or much sooner.
Vance also speculated on the possibility of the Antichrist already being present among humanity, citing concerning developments in modern society from a religious standpoint. He highlighted the increasing role of artificial intelligence in personal relationships, criticizing it as “kind of satanic.” According to Vance, AI’s use as a substitute for genuine human interaction goes against the idea of forming meaningful connections with others.
The vice-president shared experiences of what he described as a sense of spiritual darkness during meetings with global leaders. He noted that certain discussions or remarks could activate what he terms a “spiritual alarm bell.” These experiences have shaped his perception of the spiritual challenges faced in the current political landscape.
Furthermore, Vance defended President Donald Trump regarding an AI-generated image that depicted Trump in a Christ-like manner. Vance argued that Trump had no intention of mocking Christianity or presenting himself as divine. Instead, he characterized the image as an attempt at humor, rather than a genuine portrayal of Trump’s self-image.
